Albums
The discography of the American rock band Toto includes 13 studio albums, four live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. 토토 꽁머니 has received multiple Grammy Awards.
Before Toto was formed the members of the group performed sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The collaboration led to the formation of Toto in the year 1976.
Turn Back, Toto's third studio album, was criticized by critics due to lacking hit singles. In 1985, the group's lead singer Fergie Fredericksen quit The band held auditions to find a new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the group recorded their 1986 album Fahrenheit.
Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the band. The group went through old tapes and recordings to create the unique record. The album was well-received by fans and the band embarked on a tour featuring former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.
While touring for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar departed from the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set titled Falling in Between, which included live recordings from the tour and an interview with the group.

During the tour, Bobby Kimball, the lead singer, was arrested on drug-related charges. The band decided to let him go at the conclusion of the tour, and they hired singer/guitarist Joseph Williams in his place. Drummer David Hungate also left the group after the tour. He was replaced by bassist Leland Sklar.

Toto embarked on a worldwide tour following the release their album. The group featured touring musicians Lenny Castro and Shannon Forrest. Warren Ham, Shem von Schröeck, and Shem von Schroeck also were part of the group. Steve Lukather also released his second solo record, Luke.
In 1985 the drummer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from Toto due to personal reasons. Toto decided to hold an audition, and ultimately chose Joseph Williams to replace Frederiksen.
Before and during the formation of Toto, its members did session work for many artists. Toto was founded after Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and Boz Scaggs recorded Silk Degrees. Keyboardist Paich was a regular on records by Steely Dan, Seals and Crofts, and Sonny and Cher.
In 1998, Toto started working on a project entitled Old Is New. This album featured three new tracks as well as a number of completed recordings of older songs. The album was a global success and the band toured on tours to promote it.

The album came out on November 6, 2018 and included three songs from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, plus completed recordings of four other older tracks that featured Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also included the cover version of Weezer's song “Hash Pipe” which they added after hearing it on the radio.
